A new arena this year, The Hub is the home of live sessions on digital station BBC 6 Music, whose motto is to support "the music that matters". This stage will embrace superb breaking talent from the US, the UK, and Europe, like Au Revoir Simone and Polytechnic, as well as hosting cult acts such as Daniel Johnston and Wheat.

JD Twitch and JG Wilkes started Optimo (Espacio) in November 1997 at Glasgow's Sub Club. The club has since grown into a musical institution in Scotland, standing for and supporting cutting edge music and ideas. At this year's festival, Optimo (in conjunction with organisers PCL), have curated their own area, playing sets both days and presenting live acts and dj's indicative of the wide spectrum of music heard at their weekly parties.
